In their latest developer blog video, Rebellion takes us through the "Anatomy of the kill-cam," a signature piece of the Sniper Elite franchise. We look at the updates in Sniper Elite 3, such as the new muscle and circulatory system layers, and get a sneak peak of the new vehicle kill-cam. With Sniper Elite 3, the team at Rebellion wanted to go above and beyond what was possible in the second game, so much so that the killcam has received several new upgrades. In the second game, bones and organs were the only two layers inside of a model. This round, the developers have included two extra layers on top of that. The x-ray model now includes muscle systems and a circulatory system, so when shot players will see the gruesome detail of the exact effect of that shot.

Are next gen graphics enough of a shot in the arm for the series?.
It's kind of fitting that on my way to see a game set under the burning North African sun, I get lost along a flooded riverbank in the middle of a miserable English rainstorm. By the time I sit down to watch Sniper Elite 3's protagonist Karl Fairburne inch his way further across enemy lines at the Halfaya Pass, near the border between Libya and Egypt, I'm soaked through, my feet are wet, and I'm vaguely wishing we could trade places.
